Just the facts.

As a reporter and editor for  The Oakland Post, Oakland University's independent student newspaper, my work informed and engaged the campus community. I wrote numerous news articles, including a series about Beckie Francis' decision to come forward as a victim of childhood sexual abuse. My features told the stories of a brain cancer survivor, punk rock librarians and an internationally acclaimed artist.  I challenged myself to write sports stories, and also contributed to a snarky humor column.

Dearest Reader - We owe you an explanation, preferably in English...

I'm not a princess, and this definitely is not a fairytale
Last week, a tragedy of sorts occurred. I hit a squirrel while I was driving home. His death was senseless, but not the first of its kind.

First day jitters
"...I pulled off to the shoulder, stood on the side of I-75 and hurled. Then I cried. Then I hurled again..."
